I've got my results. What do I do now?

After running the tool you will get a result with all images on the page that can be optimized (if there are any). It will also show you exactly how much can be saved.

Now you simply download the image files and replace your old ones with the optimized version on your website. You should focus on the highest savings in terms of kilobytes (or even megabytes). If you are using a CMS or website builder you may not always have easy access to all the images.

What is included in the zip file?

After clicking the download button, you’ll receive a zip file. In it, there is the image folder, which contains all the optimized images.

In addition, sometimes there are optimized CSS and JavaScript files in the respective folders. If you know what to do with those, you can replace them on your website. If not, you can simply delete them!

Is the compression level you offer optimal for Google?

We built our tool around the Google recommendations for optimized images, so yes, it should be optimal to rank highly in Google.

Will you store my images on your server?

No, we don’t keep any copy of it.

I got the message: "We weren't able to compress your images". Why?

Sometimes our tool has issues with slow loading websites. If it takes 20 seconds or longer to fully load your website it can lead to a timeout, unfortunately.
